I am BACK IN BUSINESS.....

Hi all, after a long 6 months of life changes, moves and a roller coaster ride, I am back in business. I am in the process of updating my available party dates, planning out super fun Holiday projects for all new classes and completing my new Hostess Only workshop gifts. You will be seeing all new cards, 3-D projects and yes, our new MDS2 (My Digital Studio 2) scrapbook pages. I just installed MDS2 on my computer so I am looking forward to making scrapbook pages, calendars and maybe even cards (gulp). Thanks to all of you that have been there for me through these last couple of months. I really do appreciate all of the calls, cards and support that I have received. I am looking forward to the future, to the possibilities and to meeting many more stamping friends :) Visit me at www.jackiehoward.stampinup.net

Catching Up.....

I know it's been an awful long time since I last posted. It has been a crazy few months. We have gone through our house with vengeance, cleaning out over 16 years of stuff.........lots and lots of stuff. I think we made over 20 to 25 trips to Goodwill with furniture, dishes, kids old clothes and toys. My daughter and I have actually been all packed up since March of 2011, so it was mostly stuff that was just sitting in the basement or in closets. I am still going through drawers that are full with all sorts of odds and ends. It is truly amazing how much junk we all hoard. I have a friend that just moved also and she had the same experience. Years of stuff that just slowly takes over your house and suffocates you without you even being aware of it being there. I am now in the mindset that every year, nay every 6 months, go through the house, opening every drawer, closet and cubby hole and really looking at what is lurking there....and then throw it away, recycle it, donate it! We live in a country of abundance, but it doesn't mean it has to all be stored in our homes. :)

I am relieved to add that we have sold our house, closing soon and moving on with our lives. I am looking forward to unpacking my boxes.....especially my Stampin' Up! boxes. I have been going crazy this last year without my markers and Pastels. I did breakdown and purchase some of the goodies in our Occasions Mini Catalog PLUS since Sale-A-Bration is still going on, I got even more FREEBIES. Woo-Hoo!!!

I will post a pic tomorrow that uses our new Framelits Dies, I just LOVE THEM!!!! As always they coordinate with our stamp sets in the Mini. Please jump over to my website, www.jackiehoward.stampinup.net to check out the Mini and the Sale-A-Bration catalog also.

a simple Thank You

I had some of our striped ribbon on hand so I built this card around that. It took me all of 2 minutes to put this card together!!! Much faster then driving to the store to pick up a card and much nicer since it came from me.

Happy New Year

Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.2
I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I think the best thing about a New Year is the limitless possibilities that lay ahead of us. I don't make resolutions anymore because they never made it to the next month, then I felt like I had let myself down once again. Well, this year I realized that I just need to reformat my thought process. I need to make a goal (well, a kind of resolution), then work backwards, step by step until I accomplish it. Resolutions are too open and vague, the secret is to figure out what steps to take every day, even if all I have time for is a small baby step. I do have a list of goals for this year and I have two major, big picture goals and all of my little goals lead straight to those two goals. I will keep you posted on my progress and I hope that you also have taken a few moments to just think of a few ways to make your life a little better for yourself.
Happy 2012!!!!
